Echelon staff surveys explore aspects of work that are known to affect job satisfaction, performance and retention.
MORI Research suggests that staff attitudes affect organisational outcomes, in particular that:
There are direct links between staff and customer satisfaction.
Positive attitudes amongst staff support increased efficiency
Overworked staff suffers from stress and absenteeism.
There are direct links between organizational performance and staffs’ views of the quality of their managers and leaders.
A mix of online and postal surveys produces improved results, we have recently achieved an 86% return for a housing group using this method - (60% is generally regarded as a good result for returns on staff surveys).
Benchmarking
We benchmark results against comparable studies. For example for a housing client benchmarking studies carried out by the National Office of Statistics, CIPD, MORI the Housing Corporation and OPDM reports on ALMO job satisfaction were included. A useful method of comparison is employed with similar organisations that feature in the Sunday Times Top 100 companies or councils to work for.
The Questionnaire
We have useful question banks from which to select and tailor questions and ‘Tracker Questions’ from previous surveys can measure shifts in attitudes since a previous survey.
The On-line element
We design and set up a branded website which your staff access via an email link. This is a secure and confidential way to complete the survey. Staff can save their entry and return to complete it later. Once they submit their questionnaire they cannot return to do multiple entries.
